Hey guys,

This is my first gaming pc and due to my first gpu being doa I recieved a credit. I play games on 1080p 24" 60hz monitor and soon I'll be receiving a second one from a friend when he upgrades. I still plan to only play games on one monitor and use the second for movies, music and just general stuff. Main games I play is Wow and SC2 but I do tend to play a few newer AAA titles like hitman and bioshock. So I plan to get one card now and later on when it begins to drop off SLI to pick up the slack. So if I have 2 monitors will I need more then 2GB of vram or should I be going with 4GB for my set up?

My credit allows me to get, [urlExt=http://www.pccasegear.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=193_1511&products_id=24719] Gigabyte GeForce GTX 760 OC 4GB [/urlext], [urlExt=http://www.pccasegear.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=193_1511&products_id=24728] EVGA GeForce GTX 760 FTW ACX 4GB [/urlext] or [urlExt=http://www.pccasegear.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=193_1486&products_id=25188] Gigabyte GeForce GTX 770 OC 2GB [/urlext], [urlExt=http://www.pccasegear.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=193_1486&products_id=23605] EVGA GeForce GTX 770 Superclocked ACX 2GB [/urlext]

In terms of heat to due to where I live being around 40*C and lack of air-conditioning I’m aiming for the coolest card possible.

*Note I haven’t gone with AMD becase I bought the 7970 first which was DOA and the replacement then was also faulty so I’ve decided to give Nvidia a go. Also this is pushing budget but I heard it was the best cooling? Thanks

770 all the way, more ram allows for better frame rate at very high resolutions (higher than 1080p) but the thing is that the 760 is not a card for 1440p ultra settings card , so i would go for the GTX 770 all the way.

LE: oh didn`t got the SLI part but my answer still doesn`t change.

Go with the GTX770. IF you truly do not intend to move on to multi-monitor play, then the extra power in the 770 is definitely the way to go. You will be able to game at top settings and still use your second monitor (providing that the game allows that--most games like BF4 and Skyrim blank the unused monitor.

I will be using to monitors at once? Would that change anything like both monitors get 1GB vram each or will the one I'm gaming on get more the the other that is just using general apps while I game?

Sorry didnt see your message there, is there a better manufacture or should i just go for the cheaper card? I found mix opinions on which card if cooler.
