I'm looking to put together a desktop for my son for christmas. It's a pretty tight budget. He wants to be able to play games like Bioshock Infinite, Boaderlands 2, WOW, and Minecraft. I'm not very familiar with graphics cards. I found these three all between $95-$105. Would one be better than the others for me to get? Do you know of any better deals out there? As of now I'm looking at an AMD FX6300 or Athlon x4 760k and I'm not sure of the resolution of the display, it's about a 3 year old Acer 203H. Any help would be greatly appreciated

Hi You might probably be well served going with a amd R7 260x with its 2gb of vRAM. It is a little above your budget at $140 but it will give you a bit of future-proofing in case your son wants to play some more graphically intensive games. Also by the way your monitor supports a resolution of 1600x900 pixels, which is a little above 720p and this graphics card will be fine running game at that resolution. The cards that you have listed above come with 1GB of video ram at the price range you are looking at.

An amazon link for the card i mentioned is here:

I'm already at the end of my budget. I could save $30 by going with the x4 750k and go with the R7 260x. I figured the fx6300 would be the better choice and more easily upgrade video card down the road when needed. What do you think would be the better choice?

The x4 750k should be good for what you are building there and would not bottleneck the 260x graphics card.

Here is a link where you can get the CPU (amazon $80.00):

Will the x4 750k quad core be as good as the 6 core fx6300 for the long run?

To be honest, the FX6300 would be better in the long run. It has overall better performance, power consumption and overclockability. If you can upgrade the graphics card later you can use the hd 7790 as a starting point. With that card you should be able to run the games you mentioned with medium settings.

He's only 13 right now. I'd feel better getting the processor for the long road and a gpu that he can play on now and upgrade it later when needed. So if the hd 7790 would be the best for now I'll go that direction. Thanks.
