Hey Guys,
I just wanted to know your thoughts on this. I am currently runnning a EVGA 770 4GB and I have a 1440p monitor. I was thinking of upgrading to the 780Ti to be able to run game properly at this resolution with settings jacked up. Or should I just wait to see what Nvidia is coming out with in Q1 2014?

My current rig:
Intel 3570k i5 @ 4.2GHz
8GB Kingston HyperX @ 1600 MHz
EVGA GTX 770 4GB
Corsair 850TX power supply

More about : upgrade gtx 770 4gb 780ti

I'd say a better upgrade would be getting a second 770, to be honest. You've already got a lovely 4GB worth of VRAM, plenty for the resolution, now a second card would give you the extra speed. Faster than a 690, yessir.

To upgrade to a 780Ti you'd obviously (potentially, maybe, I don't know) sell the 770, netting you roughly £200 (or the equivalent in your country). You'd then have to spend an extra £250-£300 for the 780Ti. A second 770 would cost you roughly the same, if not a bit cheaper. Just seems like one of the best options. Hardly any games have SLI problems (I've run into two so far, Far Cry 3 and Deus Ex Human Revolution DC), and even they had simple fixes.

It'd work fine with that PSU as well.

Just my 2 cents.
