I have had my AMD FX-8120 at 4.5GHz for about a week now, and just yesterday it BSOD with unexpected_kernel_mode_trap
and now it will reset then be completely unresponsive till I reset (my monitors will stay in power saving mode my keyboard and mouse both are on but do nothing. Previously I only had 1 crash and it was right after I originally moved up to 4.5GHZ from 4.3GHz
here are some pics from BIOS

Solution
When you change your CPU voltage to manual you should only have 1 box to enter a voltage in. Type 1.35 into that. That should get you to 4.5Ghz. If that doesn't work then You may have reached the limit of your CPU. I mean the stock frequency of that chip is 3.1Ghz so even 4.4 is very impressive.

sorry, which voltage should I switch to 1.35V? when I change from offset to manual I get another CPU voltage.
I played around with each (CPU) setting and I actually had more frequent resets. I am going to keep messing with it, but I cant seem to get it to work unless I stay below 4.4Ghz which frankly is disappointing.

I have dropped it back to 4.4 there are some other things that may have been messing with it on another tab in BIOS. I suppose you are right I may have had a little luck with it staying at 4.5 for the time it did. Thank you for your input!
