Planning on buying a new gaming laptop, need to know if the VGA will support playing games on 40" TV

I'm thinking of buying a Lenovo IdeaPad Y510p and I'm planning on hooking it up to my 40" TV to play video games.

It comes with a NVIDIA® GeForce® GT 755M 2GB and I was wondering if it's powerful enough to allow me to use my TV instead of the laptop screen.

It comes with the Nvidia GTX 750M which should run a TV without a hitch.

Will I be able to play Skyrim (or any other modern game) with graphcis set to HIGH on TV?

The TV doesn't matter so much. If you can run it on your laptop, it will run on the TV.

If you get the Y510P with the 1080P screen it doesn't matter if you use the laptop screen or the TV (assuming it's also 1080p).

If the resolution and in game graphics settings are the same, the GPU doesn't care what displays it.
