I am putting the finishing touches on a PC rebuild over the past 6 months. My rig (purchased 10/11) was an Alienware Aurora R3 with a i7 2600 and nvdia 560ti.

I have replaced the GPU with a 7970, replaced the dell 550 PSU with a Cosair HX850. Added a 3gb HDD and a Samsung 128gb SSD.

Having some suspected mobo issues and being frustrated with the lack of non-dell options, I purchased a MSI Z87-643 mobo and a i7 4770k. To finish off my rebuild (bc my new mobo would not fit in the Aurora r3 case), is a Cooler Master HAF 932 full PC tower is on its way.

Now to my question, While I am waiting for my case, I wanted to clean and maintain my components. I am planning on keeping my Alienware R3 water cooler on my new build. Is there anything I should do with this to maintain it? It is not a custom water loop and I am uncertain if the all in one liquid coolers like this one are in need of any maintenance.

Any insight would be appreciated!

Solution
it depends, if the watercooler is compatible with the 4770k. but im pretty shur it is, since 4770 series isnt that much newer than the i7 2600.

and theres no maintenance required on closed looped system of watercooling.
