Hey guys my power supply just popped...
I've just made a new build, powered the computer on and it lasted about 2minutes then suddenly the port of the PSU shot sparks and I could smell burning-also blowing the mains fuse requiring a reset . I think it was because I ran it through a 4way extention cable (noob move)
I am feeling very down and crappy right now but I'm just wondering if any of my other componants would be damaged.
The power supply is 750w Corsair Bronze , and it kinda smells of buring However no other componants smell burnt/any cosmetic damage if this is the case il re-order , aslong as no other componants are damaged
Many thanks ,
Ben

It is possible that your other components may be toast.

The only way to really check is to get a new PSU and try again.

Yeah . . . your in quite a pickle here. What I would do is get a another better power supply and check if everything is functioning properly.
Here are some good PSUs:
http://www.amazon.co.uk/Corsair-TX750V2-Enthusiast-Seri... or if that isn't in your budget then get: http://www.amazon.co.uk/OCZ-OCZ-ZS750W-UK-Series-Bronze... - Both really good power supply's which shouldn't explode! :)

If other components have gone bad, you may claim product liability from Corsair.
