Graphic card requires 2 power cables?

Hello, I wanted to purchase MSI R9 270x gaming, but realized it need two 6 pin power cable,
Do I have to connect 2 cables? or just one will do?

my current psu is a.pfc 500w fan 12 ci-power CWT

It takes both. If you don't have enough connectors from your PSU, and while they are not the best solution, there are many adapters available. Search Google for "pcie power adapter".

you need both connected. They don't put two but you only need 1. Doesn't make sense.

Don't know if your psu could handle that card. what' the rest of your system?

my cpu is i3 550 and my mobo dh55tc

I've been told in the store that I could run it... but now im not sure

Assuming your PSU doesn't have two, the easiest way to do it is to covert 2 4pin molex to one 6pin PCIe. Here's one.

waht is your PSU make and model? if you cant find the second pcie power plug, the PSU might not have enough juice to even power it
