Hey guys,

I just bought a new Gigabyte GA-Z77X-UP7 Mobo and installed it.
but when I try to boot the lights only light up for a fraction of a second and then it stops.
but when I removed both of my GTX 660's and connect the display to the onboard HDMI it does boot....

Specs are:

Intel I7-2600
Gigabyte GA-Z77X-UP7
2X Evga Gtx 660 3Gb
2x 4 Gb of ASint Ram
Evga Supernova Nex 650g 650watt
Corsair H80i

please help me out guys!

If a single card is installed it doesn't boot either.

I found out a way to make it work though, if I remove the HDMI cable from the vid card then it does boot and if I put the cable back in again it just works fine.

It just won't boot when the HDMI cable is connected

Hmmm... I wonder if there's a fault in the cable that isn't affecting the integrated but is affecting the discrete card(s). Does this happen no matter which card is installed? Remember, only use one card while troubleshooting.

Try a different cable. In fact, try the card's DVI port or the VGA port if your monitor has those inputs.

It doesn't matter which port I use, it just won't boot.
i guess i just got a faulty motherboard, I'll send it back to the store.
thanks for the support!
