Hey! There are probably alot of questions about this already. But fuck. None of them helped so far.

So. I just got my 7970. I can run BF3 with stable 80+ fps with ultra settings. But whenever I try to play Minecraft (singleplayer) I get around 150 fps top. Whenever I go online, it doesn't matter if I have bad or good connection with the server. I still get top 60 fps.. I know I know. 30 fps is enough. But it isn't. I have a 144Hz monitor so It's really annoying not having dem 140+ fps. I just think this is really weird as I got about 200+ stable fps on Minecraft with my old GTX 560. I have the latest cataclyst drivers and stuff. Latest Java. 64 bit for my 64 bit OS. I have "forceclocked" the card to keep the gpu clock at 955Mhz. When I play Minecraft in maximized (1080p) gpu load maxes 60. But is average on 25 - 50%

did you make sure that ingame somehow the fps lock isnt set to low? maybe vsync is trying to activate and it thinks its a 60hz monitor?

Ohh yeah. I forgot to post my specs;
-PowerColor radeon HD 7970
-Intel Core i5 3470 @3.20Ghz
-16gb 1600mhz ram (4x8gb)
-MSI B75MA-P45

Pretty sure there's no bottlenecking going on, concidering BF3 runs just fine. I think there's a problem with the 7970 and Minecraft. E.g the card is too strong for Minecraft. So it thinks that Minecraft maybe doesn't need any GPU power etc. I dunno what I'm talking about..
