a question about 3d displays

Solution

Is the Asus also using passive 3d?
Monitors do not come with 240hz. TV's don't accept 240hz of input. Forget 240hz.

I'd recommend the VG248QE for a 24" 144hz Nvidia 3D Vision 2 capable monitor. This does not come with a built in emitter, so you need to buy the 3D Vision 2 kit separately. BenQ makes the XL2420te and XL2720te for their 24" and 27" monitors, both of which do not have the emitter either.

I'd recommend the VG278H for a 27" 120hz Nvidia 3D Vision 2 capable monitor. This one comes with the Kit built in.

If you are going to use an AMD video card, good luck. Samsung stopped making HD3D capable active stereoscopic 3D monitors. No one does now. You'll be stuck with passive 3D, which is not very good for gaming.
