I have got a similar rig :)

Intel Core i5 4570
Corsair Vengeance 8GB (2x4GB) DDR3 1600 Mhz CL9
Gigabyte Z87N-WIFI Motherboard (I have got a Mini ITX in Cooler Master 120)
Same SDD as you

As video card I opted for a Sapphire Radeon R9 270X OC DUAL

I am really really happy, the PC is overall silent considering the small case and the performance are excellent!

For a non SLI build that is an expensive motherboard. I recommend a cheaper one like Gigabyte G1-SNIPER. For the GPU I think that is fine you might need SLI in the future or you can just get a more decent card for now.

Edited:
This is my build I had it for few months now

Asrock Z87 Extreme 4 LGA 1150
Intel Core i5 4670K 3.4GHz (3.8GHz Turbo)
G.Skill Ripjaws-X 8GB
MSI GeForce GTX 760 OC 2GB
Samsung 840 EVO 250GB,
Thermaltake Smartpower 80Plus Bronze 750w
Antec GX700 case

And this cost around $1500 AU with a 24" monitor as well no need for expensive mobo

Good point...
Does the G1 have SLI?
I was planning on possibly doing SLI with the card that I am going to buy, so that was why I opted for the Maximus VI gene because of the good features and SLI

yes, the 650ti is a pretty mid range GPU for the rest of the system.

if you have the money, get the kepler gpus (760, 770, 780 etc) and you will be set.

as for the motherboard, the Maximus Gene is pretty prices, ASRocks mobo's are a bit cheaper and still as reliable as asus.

Thanks a lot, but i'm planning to buy all the stuff from my local MSY store because I have to pay at least $14 shipping on almost everything on pc partpicker. Is there any reason you changed the mobo and CPU cooler?

The 212 EVO is a beast of a CPU cooler. Easily (one of) the best air coolers around, and for a very cheap price.

The motherboard, I suppose is just cheap, but still reliable.

So your buy at your local msy? I config another one!
Do you need a os, monitor, keyboard, & mouse?

Update:
Here is a another system configuration. All parts listed here is from MSY. The price list is the most current as of 11/21/2013
Amount is in Australian Dollars
CPU: Intel Core i5 4670K /$264
HSF: Cooler Master Hyper 212 Evo /$37
M/B: Asrock Z87 Extreme 3 /$149
RAM: G.Skill Sniper 8GB (2x4GB) DDR3 1600MHz /$96
GPU: Sapphire-OC R9-280x 3GB /$365
SSD: Samsung 840 Evo 120GB /$104
HDD: Seagate 500GB /$55
ODD: Samsung SATA DVD Writer /$18
PSU: Corsair GS 700 v2 /$125
Case: Corsair Carbide 200R /$85
$1,298 without Windows 8.1 64bit OEM (Windows 8.1 64bit OEM /$115)
$1,413 with Windows 8.1 64bit OEM
Asrock is the cheapest board on that list that supports SLI and CFX at dual x8/x8
CFX is also support in x16/x4

If OS is not needed then we can change some of the parts
Change motherboard from Asrock Z87 Extreme 3 /$149 to MSI Z87 G45-Gaming /$195
$1,344 /$1,459 with OS
Change video card from Sapphire-OC R9-280x $365 to Sapphire R9-290 4GB /$499
$1,432 /$1,547 with OS
Don't mind using stock cooler for now and grabbing a after market CPU cooler latter on, then that system with a Sapphire R9-290 4GB comes out
to $1,395 /$1,510 with OS
