gigabyte z87-hd3 mobo flashing

Guys sorry for the stupid question, I fear i'll be laughed for this, but I'd rather ask nonetheless.

Anyhow, I have the above motherboard, and I had an issue getting my RAM (most of them) to register properly. Anyhow, I used the bios upgrade tool to upgrade, and completed fine then rebooted, turned it's on and off and then on again and seems to work fine, RAM and all. This was late last night and the computer has been on all day with seemingly no issues.

My question is this, I've not flashed for years, but was the computer, turning on and off and then on again (prior to post) part of the flashing process, or something to be concerned about.

Nope thats normal, all boards handle this differently but that is basically what my last 3 asus, and previous gigabyte boards did on all of my other builds. its like they wipe the old data, reset, load new data, reset, then load up for good.
