How much of a performance diff are we talking? Im upgrading from a Radeon 6950.

Do I spend 230-250 on the 760, or spend the extra 85-100 on the 770?

More about : gtx 760 770

It kind of depends on a number of things. I play at 1980x1080 with a gtx770. One game I like to play is battlefield 4. I can play it on ultra but I do experience some drop in frame rates here and there.

With a 760 you would likely need to turn down the settings from ultra to high (at 1980x1080).

It also depends on what games you are playing. If we are talking world of warcraft, the 760 is overkill for example.

So what games, what resolution and what are your expectations?

770 has more longevity when it comes to the new games coming out, as it's more powerful.
If you can run BF4 on high with no problems then upgrading to a 760 won't warrant a significant difference. However, if you upgrade to the 770 you'll definitely notice the difference. It'll be on the order of 10-20 FPSish on High, maybe more, and about the same on Ultra if you choose to play with those settings.
