So I'm deciding on buying a new graphics card for my "rig" and I need help deciding it. What I'm looking for is a GPU that would help me achieve a minimum of 60fps on max settings on a 1080p monitor playing upcoming games. I've researched online and it looks like I would have to go with SLI GTX 780's, but if there is a solution that isn't 800 dollars, I would greatly appreciate being told about it.
This info should help you out~
i5-4670k 3.4 GHz (Overclocked to 4.4 GHz)
Corsair 750w PSU

what is your budget ultimately?

I'll take a shot at the dark and say get a R9 280x or a R9 290 if you're willing to put that kind of money down, the R9 280x is a strong card that nips at the heels of of a single GTX 780 and will perform enough for 1080p gaming at max.

in BF4 it gets 45 FPS average but MSAA is stupidly taxing so turning it off (for regular deferred AA) will yield 60+ fps at 1080p on ultra settings.
Mantle patch is also coming in a month so further performance improvement (theoretical) there, and will help with any future games that utilize it.

Using BF4 as a benchmark for upcoming games since those games are not in the present :p  it is the closest I can do.

The 280x looks perfect for me also considering that BF4 is pretty demanding and I'm just looking to run Assassin's Creed Black Flag, and the upcoming Elder Scrolls MMO. Way cheaper than what I WAS going for. Thanks man. I googled the power consumption and I can't seem to get a straight answer because Newegg doesn't have it posted but, my 750w PSU be more than I need, I'm assuming?
This looks like what I'm going for~

yes, 750W is more than what you'll need, a single 280x will draw maybe 200-250W max like it's rated for, it's mostly about the amps output on your voltage rails, but your PSU is definitely fine, most Corsairs are able to power this card to my knowledge

oh and the card looks good! MSI has decent OC graphics cards, their R9 series cards have been rockin' it
