I currently have a MSI motherboard. It can be found here: http://www.amazon.com/MSI-LGA1155-MicroATX-Motherboard-B75MA-P45/dp/B008S8WA18/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1384907671&sr=8-1&keywords=msi+b75ma-p45

The board has one PCIE x16 slot that is currently filled by a Radeon HD 7870. I want to know if it is possible to add another GPU to this board by using an adapter like this one: http://www.amazon.com/Express-Adapter-Extender-Flexible-Extension/dp/B008BZBGPO/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1384907847&sr=8-3&keywords=16X+to+1X+PCIe

Solution
Possible, but for what purpose? If you just need additional graphic output ports, a riser card may give you the slot you need, but it'd be easier to just get a PCI-Ex1 graphics card. If you intend to attempt to CrossfireX your cards to improve gaming, this will not work. Your only solutions are:
1) Get a better single graphics card
2) Upgrade to a motherboard with at least two PCI-Ex16 card slots rated for x8/x8. Note, this second option tends to require a better power supply as well as a new Windows 7/XP license. Windows 8 is transferable, but will likely require a fresh installation.
