I was searching Newegg for deals on Power Supplies as I need a new one.

I've had power supplies (not making this up) blow up on me, so I get scared when buying PSUs.

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817182264&nm_mc=EMC-IGNEFL110813&cm_mmc=EMC-IGNEFL110813-_-EMC-110813-Index-_-PowerSupplies-_-17182264-L015B

Does that have all of the proper protection in place? I'm a complete noob when it comes to power supplies, I'm fairly knowledgeable in other subjects relating to computers, I built my own and built another one for a family member, but I really don't know what anything means when it comes to power supplies.

My specs:

AMD Phenom II X4 965 Black Edition @ 3.4 GHz
GIGABYTE GA-78LMT-USB3 AM3+ AMD 760G HDMI USB 3.0 Micro ATX AMD Motherboard
Kingston HyperX XMP Blu Red Series 8GB (2 x 4GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1600 Desktop Memory Model KHX16C9B1RK2/8X
EVGA 02G-P4-3651-KR GeForce GTX 650 Ti 2GB Video Card
450W Power Supply (can't remember what it is)
An assortment of Hard Drives
Basic LG DVD burner

Now, in the future, I plan on upgrading to the AMD FX-8350 processor, getting a 2 TB HDD and a GTX 770/Radeon 280X-esque card. Will this last and keep my components safe?

Thanks.

Thank you very much. I'm very wary of PSUs, so having your opinion on it helps :)

I'm actually planning on getting it from newegg due to a sale, I can get it for $90 ($75 with MIR), but thank you so much for the link.

Which is why I figured I would ask here. Such a helpful community (ignoring the trolls), and I can always count on this site for very helpful and kind people.

Thank you again!

EDIT: Turns out the email that was sent to me was delayed and the deal is dead :/ I may still end up picking it up though.
