ok guys I need some suggestions. All these parts are brand new.
asus 990 fx r2.0
amd vish 8350
roswell 1300 ps
I hooked these up and cpu red light comes on and stays on. no post
Ive flashed the bios to the newest one. without a post I can only assume it worked but Ive watched a video on it and my lights go through the same process as the vid.
asus support (if you can call it that) at first tried telling me the cpu is not supported by this motherboard, then when i went to their site and read it to them their only suggestion was to try flashing the board with every bios from 1006 to the newest and hopefully one of them works.
Well despite my gut feeling that it couldnt be a good thing to do I went ahead and did it, and still no post.
really looking for some suggestions here and anything else I might try. Ive read every post on these forums and others of this same problem and outside of a couple lucky ones getting it to work with flashing there is no clear answer to the issue.
any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated
