AMD Radeon 7870, Mantle is coming soon, will help steady FPS in BF4.

I would go with a model of MSI's Twin Frozr models - they stay really cool and quiet, and stay that way even when heavily overclocked. The GTX 660ti Power Edition would definitely overclock well :)

7870 won't support mantle...only the r9 200 series
and 660 ti is faster than 7870 although 7870 is much cheaper

This is incorrect. ALL HD 7xxx GPUs are based on GCN (Graphics Core Next) architecture and all of them will support Mantle.

Now to the OP, why are you comparing two cards that are not even close to being priced the same? If you have the budget for a GTX 660ti, that means you can spend at least $275:

If you can spend $275 on a GTX 660ti, why wouldn't you be willing to spend less on a card that kicks it's proverbial butt all over the place like the Radeon HD 7970 for $260 (-$20 rebate)?:

THIS is the card you should be getting, not some overpriced nVidia card.

Quote from [H]ardOCP:
"The Radeon R9 280X was very playable at these settings and stayed ahead of all of the other mid-range cards that we evaluated. The other three cards were not playable at these settings. Although the GeForce GTX 760 turned in higher frame rate than the GeForce GTX 770, we believe this is due to the run through for the GTX 770 having significantly more explosions and tank action present during the data recording."

As you can see here, the HD 7970 (also known as the R9-280X) completely destroys even the GTX 770 in Battlefield 4. I can assure you that the GTX 660ti is no match for a GTX 770 and is therefore a horrible value at $275, especially for Battlefield 4.
