So I have about a 3 year old HP Pavilion d7-6163us and the Wifi crapped out a while ago. Didn't really think much of it back then and just used a hard wire connection for a while. Now I decided to look into it and after looking into the drivers with no avail I realized that I was working on the hardwire adapter not the wireless one. My computer didn't even know the thing existed anymore seeing as I could not find it anywhere on my device manager at all. So today I popped the backing off to see if it was a physical problem and it mostly likely is. I touched it to get the mounting screws off and it was very hot so my determination is that it burnt it self out. Id would call HP about it but the warranty is now dead and they would probably just give me the same shoddy part anyways. So my question is this:
1. Could I replace this little guy with something?
or
2. Should I just use a USB one instead?
