2gb vram is approaching a limitation on bf4, some people report usage just over 2gb, and iff you start adding more than 4xaa and supersampling your certainly going to hit over 2gb vram. if you currently get 26fps, then you can expect to get a little less than double that fps. i found on my system with a single gtx660 i had i could hit 60fps pretty solid in the beta game on high detail setting. maybe just drop to high detail, doesnt look much different from ultra, see if you pick up significant fps, otherwise something else in your system is a bottleneck.

I think that you'd probably be ok because most nVidia cards don't have over 2GB of VRAM but they still survive BF4 ok. If you're uncertain, then you'll be looking at upgrading to an HD 7950. They are the least expensive cards that have more than 2GB of VRAM.

As we can see, this game still having a lot of things to improve, this engine even with 48 fps, at least on single player campain, does not run smooth, but crysis 3 even with 30 fps shows a better gameplay than bf4, what about a crossfire hd 7870, in theory, 2x2gb would be fine, but i've heard something about it does't happen.
