I was trying to open Google chrome in my Toshiba L455D-S5976 but it didn't shown anything aside from the URL and the bookmarks bar. The content of the app was pure black. Right after that a blue screen appeared saying "windows has encounter a problem, to prevent further damage the system will restart" or something like it. When it came back up it say “run Windows repair" so I hit enter and restored to back previous recovery point...but now is pure black. I can hear the fan going up and down but that's all it does. I took the battery out and hold the power button for 3mins but it didn't work. I also check the RAM stick and even change it from one slot to the other but still the same...I don't know what else to try, any help would be very much appreciated. Sorry if I'm not very helpful...I'm not that good with computers. Please help me.

do you get any splash logo when the laptop powers on?? any video out of the back video port of the laptop?? It easy for a lcd screen back light to die any time. if the laptop not posting then there a hardware failure. (if the hard drive died it can hold a laptop from posting).

I don't get anything its just pure black. The only sign of power from it it's the fan and the case lights...I remember that it said something about a file corruption, but I don't remember which one. I pressed Ctrl+ALT+DEL and now I cant see a thing...
