Games are lagging suddenly. It's a new build except for the graphics card,PSU,Harddisk and Ram.My PC got struck by lightning so I changed my processor and motherboard and now games are lagging. It's unplayable!I would try checking the PSU. It's the front line when it comes to power surges, and lightning strikes are one heck of a power surge. I'd be shocked if it got away unscathed. This should help guide you through testing the health of your PSU: http://pcsupport.about.com/od/toolsofthetrade/f/powersu...
Next thing to consider would be just general hardware issues. Faulty hardware is not unheard of, so check out your hardware with HWMonitor and stress test it with Furmark for your GPU and Prime 95 for your CPU. During these tests you should keep an eye on temperature and let us know what it is.
While you're testing hardware, you should also test your RAM with MemTest 86+.
For MemTest 86+, you'll need to create bootable media with it and boot your computer with a USB key or CD to go into MemTest. If you need any guidance, try consulting this page: http://www.wikihow.com/Test-PC-Ram-with-MemTest86
Now, this could just be a case of post hoc, ergo propter hoc. Perhaps you have malware that's just slowing down your computer. So take the necessary steps to ensure that it isn't.
Another cause (unlikely, but possible) could be having too much stuff running. Install and run Vista Services Optimizer to see what you can do to lighten the load. (Don't worry, it works in Windows 7/8 too). Additionally, run msconfig.exe (in anything but Windows 8) or use the task manager (in Windows 8) to stop unnecessary programs from running and slowing things down.
I hope at least one of those suggestions helps. Best of luck!

I've tried Furmark and the temperature is increases.
I just did format,all I've installed is Drivers,nothing else.
Checked CPU and the temperature is 53C.Ram is fine, done diagnose.PSU is my concern too. Will let you know the results and thanks for quick answer.

I don't have a multimeter so I used this software.I don't really understand but I thought maybe it will show you something.

Okay, so sorry for the bad article on testing your PSU. I'm looking into what values those voltages should be. I'll just need some computer specs from you.
In the meantime, try using this tool. It should help us understand the voltages you posted.
I'll let you know if I find anything!

I've tested the thing and it shows recommended 450 and I'm using 500watt PSU
My PC specs
AMD 5600k
Cooler Master 500w PSU
Asus GTS450 1GB
DDR3 Kingston 6gb Ram

Okay, so assuming your PSU is working, your system definitely has enough watts from the PSU.
I've been looking at the exact voltages, and I don't see anything particularly strange, except for the 15 Volts coming from the 12 Volt rail... which can't be normal.
Try running Prime95 to stress test your CPU, take a screenshot of your voltages during the test (when the PSU is under heavy load).
I'm not sure if monitoring the voltages via software is necessarily accurate. I remember you saying you don't have a multimeter, but if you ever get your hands on one, it would be good to see the actual voltages. Just for future reference.
Sorry for the late response.

Can you tell me a software to monitor my CPU temperature during the CPU stress test thingy.

Oh yeah! I always use HWMonitor, it'll tell you all the information you need to know.

This was IDLE...Without any stress test or game running.

Best solution
Okay, upon further consideration, I think you need to get a new PSU as soon as possible. The 12V rail should not be delivering that many volts. Either the software is wrong, or your components are going to fail/catch on fire.
Get a multimeter and test the actual voltages, or be safe and get a new PSU (It might even fix your problem).
In the meantime, don't use your computer until you know you have a safe PSU.
If you need help choosing a power supply, use this form to figure out how many Watts you'll need to run your system. Then choose your PSU accordingly. Let me know what Power Supply you're thinking of.
Let me know what you decide to do with your PSU!

I'll swap with my friend to check about the PSU
I hope it will solve my problem.

Awesome, I'm glad you have that option for testing the power supply. Let me know how it goes!
If you could post the same voltage readings of your friend's PSU, I'd be curious to see what the software reads those voltages at.
Best of luck!

I swapped PSU,GPU and also RAM and found no problem.I guess my CPU is bottlenecking,so it causes lag. What do you think?
