Hi,
The short video below shows exactly what is happening to me at 0:15, 0:34, 0:50, 0:51, 0:59 ...
The setup is as follows:
PS3(720p) --- [component] --- Hauppauge --- [component] --- Component to HDMI convereter box --- [hdmi to dvi cable] --- monitor (hp f2105)
Note that when I use the same hdmi to dvi cable directly from the PS3's hdmi port to my monitor i get no such issue and things work fine.
Things i have ruled out:
It is not EDID (extended display identification data).
The cables, converter and hauppauge are all good since i tested them on my roommate's TV and it worked perfect...
Should i maybe try a different hdmi to dvi chord? I mainly wanna fix the screen flashing problem so if u have ANY SUGGESTIONS AT ALL please don't hesitate to post. If i cant find a fix i'm gonna have to either buy a new monitor or an hdmi capture device and neither one are solutions i can afford right now.
Thank you for your time and have a nice day
