I had an old Dell E520 machine with Intel G965express Chipset. I am thinking about doing to following upgrades to the system to make it last 2 more years.
1. From an Intel Pentium D 915 @ 2.8 Ghz to Intel Core 2 Quad Q6700 2.66Ghz.
My question is that will I be able to use the old 4GB DDR2-667?
2. From an old SATA HDD to ADATA SSD
My questions is that there is only an Raid options from the BIOS, no AHCI. But on the boot screen it said it support AHCI for the raid BIOS. Will that be ok ?
3. From Nvidia Gefore 7300 LE to ?
I want to know what my best options are for the graphic cards.
Any tips or comments are welcome.

so the FSB runs independently right ? The processor and Ram runs at a different speed ?
Yeah, a brand new system is what I always wanted. However, my budget is a little tight for now and I am planning to get used processor and a used video card on ebay. I spended most of my budget on a SSD drive and hope that was the correct investment.
What kind of video card should I get ?
