I recently ordered an Asus Z87-PRO motherboard and Kingston HyperX Beast DIMMs (specifically KHX16C9T3K2/16X). For some reason, I thought saw this model on the Asus QVL, but according to the manual it is not (I must've misread). It is past the 30 day return policy on Amazon, but I am wondering if I should attempt to install the memory anyway or try to haggle with Amazon to return it (its unopened). What would you recommend? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

According to your link, it says the biggest thing to be sure of is that the DIMMs are optimized for your processor. I have the i7-4771 (haswell). It says that this memory is compatible with gen 3 Intel, but it doesn't have any indication support for gen 4. Should I be concerned? My gut tells me no, but I just want to be sure.

Your CPU can generally handle easily 1600 to 1866 DRAM, up to 32GB and most can handle about 16GB of 2133 (2x8GB)... not sure what mobo you have, but would prob look at 2x4GB or 2x8GB of either the GSkill Tridents or GSkill Snipers, but you should be fine with the ones you have, install, go into BIOS, enable XMP and select profile 1, should be fine ;)
