Enabling crossfire crashes my video drivers?

I've decided to get a second identical 7870 recently for crossfire on my system, but it has been nothing but headaches since I added that second card. They work flawlessly without crossfire enabled, but as soon as I enable it, the drivers crash for all graphics adapters, including the Intel HD graphics for some reason. I've gone as far as installing the latest and previous drivers (including beta drivers) all the way to flashing my new card's bios to match my old one.

My specs:
i7 4770k
Corsair H100i
Gigabyte GA-Z87X-UD5H - BIOS ver. F7 (the latest)
16GB PNY DDR3 1333
2x XFX AMD Radeon HD 7870 Core Ghz Edition 2GB
Corsair RM850 (Bought it with the second card)

I'm hoping its not a problem with my board, because it clearly states that both CF and SLI is supported, though I haven't seen a successful CF setup anywhere using this board. Has anyone had any success with this on this board?

PS:
Disabling ULPS doesn't help at this point, the drivers still crash.

I had a problem with enabling SLI on my Asus Z77 Sabertooth with the igpu enabled. I had to go into the BIOS and disable the igpu for it to work for some reason. But since I did not use-did not need it was not a big deal. You might give that a try.

I did not need to do that on my AMD/ATI rigs since neither one of them had igpu's on board.
