hey guys new to the site, have previously used it for help with many things in the past but havnt registered until now, great site btw :)

anyways, i have 2x2gb of corsair xms3 1600mhz @ 1.65v but the thing is i ordered 2x2gb of corsair vengance low profile 1600mhz @ 1.5v, i have had to underclock my ram to 1333mhz to get the corsair vengance lp 1.5v to run with the corsair xms3 1.65v...

so basically i have set ram in bios to 1.5v @ 1333mhz to get them running together because my low profile stuff wont run at 1.65v or will it thats what i need to know??
is it safe to run my vengance at 1.65v to get them both at 1600mhz or not ??????????

help guys an advice.....

system specs as follows

AMD Phenom X4 955 BE @ 3.8ghz
2x2gb Corsair XMS3 1600mhz @ 1.65v, currently @ 1333mhz - 1.5v
2x2gb Corsair Vengance LP 1600mhz @ 1.5v, currently @ 1333mhz - 1.5v
Asus M5A78L-M/USB3
Nvidia GTX 660ti
Corsair CX500

Best bet will prob be to stay at 1333, to be honest to run 1600 with 4 sticks would take some very high voltages of both DRAM and the CPU/NB (your MC (memory controller) voltage and heat may become a problem

heat is no issue but i will just leave it at 1333mhz * not much performance increase anyways is there?

There is generally some perdormance gain, you won't see it as much on AMD as you would Intel, but say in gaming might be a couple/three FPS
