Hi,

I am planning to build a new gaming PC within a couple of months. My budget is aroung Rs.50k INR.

My choices are
8 GB of RAM,
Intel 3rd Gen i5 or i7 processor,
a full HD monitor,
1 TB HDD
and I have come through that AMD HD 7770 or 7750 would be a good graphics card.
Please suggest motherboards, PSU and the componets I mentioned above are good or not. Also please add if I have missed anything.

Thanks in advance.

Intel processor offer almost better raw core performance in every bracket, AMD are more reliable on multiple core which in my opinion will be the case with next gen games. I always go for AMD because i don't see any reason why i should pay extra $100-$150 when the difference is barely visible.

However there are games that got trash CPU utilization and you will see major difference between Intel and AMD such as Planetside 2 and Arma.
Why on earth would you want to pay Intel's prices? You'd have to be crazy if this is a gaming machine. I'll make it easier for you:
CPU: AMD FX-6300 -> Rs. 8109 (Saved you about Rs. 5191 right there)

Motherboard: ECS A960M-MV HDMI -> Rs. 2950 (Saved you about Rs. 1100 and the Intel board isn't nearly as good)

RAM: 8GB Kingston HyperX DDR3-1600 -> Rs. 4900

Graphics Card: Powercolor Radeon HD 6950 2GB -> Rs. 11872

Power Supply: Corsair VS550 550W -> Rs. 3220

Total price: Rs. 31051 including taxes
The cheapest Intel price would have been Rs. 37342 including taxes. Not much left to work with after that.

I'll let you sort through the rest. It's better if you choose your own monitor, keyboard, case, etc.

I came through some forums and reviewes where intel's processors has been rated better than AMD's processors. Can you please suggest some good intel's processors within Rs. 14,000 INR price range.

My purpose of use will be mostly playing games and watching full HD videos. I have thought to buy AMD HD 7770 graphics card, will it be a good choice?

Also please suggest a good full HD monitor within Rs. 9,000 INR price range.

Thanks for your suggestion.

Now after seeing some reviews regarding a good graphic card within my budget(Rs. 11,000/-). I have chosen the below two as options:

1. GTX 650 Ti 1GB DDR5/GTX 650 1GB DDR5

2. AMD HD 7770 1GB DDR5.

Please suggest which will be better.

Also please suggest a good manufacurer for Graphic card. I would prefer ASUS but does it really matter with the manufacturer for graphics card?

I don't know what the prices are in India but converting 11,000 RS to USD you can afford a 7850 wich is better than both however if you are very strict on budget and can't afford it then the 650 Ti is better.

Which manufacturer? Asus and Sapphire are good but i think it's just minor differences when overclocking, i have a Gigabyte card myself and it's pretty good.
