Fractal Define R4 vs XL R2

I am trying to build a powerful and as silent as possible system.

  • Intel i7 4770k
    Scythe Mugen 4
    Asus Z87 Sabertooth
    2x8 GB Crucial Ballistix 1600MHz CL9
    Gainward GeForce GTX770 Phantom
    Corsair RM 550-650W
    2x HDD, 1x SSD
Should I take R4 or XL R2? Is there any benefits in XL R2 besides the size? (I think all my components will fit perfectly to R4)
Is there any differences in noise and cooling? I think XL R2 will have better cooling because of the size?

Is there enough cable length in RM 550 for XL R2?

Yes, I have read a lot of reviews.

The only thing I am worried about is PSU cables length. I heard some stories that sometimes PSU cables are too short for Full Tower cases.

Yes that's true with some psu however in you're case Fractal also boasts 26 mm of space between the motherboard tray for cable management, which is nice but may still be a bit tight, especially in what could be high traffic areas for certain grommets I think you are fine. cable length wise.But, you might want to wait for more input anyway enjoy!
