Hey,

I'm just curious to see if these parts are compatible, if it makes a decent gaming pc, how much fps on average would it run BF4 Ultra and finally, would you recommend downgrading or upgrading any parts?

Any suggestions on a screen?

Thanks!

I would normally suggest dropping down to an i5-4670K for gaming as most games don't make use of the hyperthreading the i7 offers. But if you are going to be spending a significant amount of time on BF4 the i7 definitely makes sense.

Though if this is also just a PC for gaming and you wont be video rendering etc. then you could cut down to 8GB of RAM.

Also, I have never heard of that PSU make personally, they might be good but you also might want to look at XFX, Seasonic, corsair or Antec PSUs.

What I will stress though is that site is HEAVILY overcharging you.

Build your own and save like $600

Apart from the PSU here is EXACTLY the same build you have and look how much cheaper it is.

They are charging you $100 extra for that GPU than Newegg.

It's up to you but for that amount of savings you should definitely build it yourself

I would build it myself but there is a problem, i am totally new to pc's and thats why i came here for some assistance. I generally want a pc that is prebuilt and needs to be made in Australia so there isnt $500 of shipping for me. That is why i cant use Newegg, otherwise i surely would have and ye i cant build one myself i have no clue. It will be used mainly for BF4, Csgo and 80% of the time Dota 2. Any suggestions you can add?

Ahh! I did not even see that it was an australian site!
That make the price difference much less extreme.

Well I had a quick search around and Aerocool are not recommended PSU brand.
Go with Corsair, XFX or Seasonic.

Apart from that it all looks good. You could switch down to a mid tower case to save some money and drop down to 8GB of RAM as 16GB is quite a lot of overkill.
But if you have the money to spare then just go for it.

Definitely change the PSU though
here is a list of the PSU Heirarchy. Tier 1/2 would be the best to go for if your budget can fit it.

Thanks,
May i ask what a PSU is/ are there any items i should upgrade or downgrade, i was thinking of going to the i5 one you recommended and also will my pc overheat, because atm in Australia specifically Perth its 42 degrees celcius and that itself is overheating my laptop. And finally what does the downgrade of i7-i5 mean for performance?

The PSU is the "Power SUpply Unit", it's what powers everything. And bad ones dont supply there rated wattage, dont deliver a steady voltage and don't handle voltage spikes well. A bad power unit can fry all your other components in the worst case scenario of it going down. So you definitely Do not want to skimp on that component.

Your PC shouldn't overheat. The H100i is a great cooler and that case has good airflow. If you find that it is a bit too hot for your liking you can always add more case fans. Be it in mind I live in Scotland, a notoriously wet and cold country so hopefully someone from a warmer climate can post and give you some better advice than I can.

For gaming performance; in most games the i5 gives pretty much equal performance to the i7. Some games are utilising more cores these days (like BF4) so will run a bit better on CPUs with more cores (or CPUs like the 4770K with hyperthreading). However the i5 still performs great on BF4. As for Dota and CS the performance difference is going to be very minimal I would imagine.

Here is an image of the different CPUs in BF4. The i5 still gets well over 60FPS minimum framerate.
