im looking to build a new pc soon for playing games and i would like to know what i should replace the stock cooler with. im going to be using amd's a10-6800k apu clocked at 4.1hz and i would like to know if i should go with the corsair evo 212 or CORSAIR Hydro Series H90 High Performance Water/Liquid CPU Cooler. 140mm?

Solution
Grab the EVO, the performance you would gain isn't worth the cost of the H90. If anything just save up the extra money you would have spent on the H90 and put that towards a new platform.

Go water, that's a hot chip at stock. The 212 is a nice cooler for the price point but you'll be a lot happier with the closed loop even with the additional expense. Additionally you'll have some headroom for overclocking. Water 100%. I own a 212, has served me well, now cools an underclocked x6, my closed loop blows it out of the water.

thats probably what i'll do then. i dont plan on oc anyhow. 4.1 should be more than plenty for moderate gaming. and i heard great reviews about the evo 212 but just wasnt sure if the h90 would've been better due to quite a few review on the cpu saying it gets really hot
