Im wondering which of these two are better for my FX 6300 cpu.

Cooler Master Hyper 212X
Cooler Hyper 212 EVO

and i dont know what to call them cpu cooler or heatsink.

Neither.
I use and recommend the Xigmatek Gaia over the more often parroted but slightly inferior Hyper212 EVO:

Unlike the Hyper212 EVO (ignore the URL; it IS the EVO they tested), the Gaia never throttled, although it wasn't always the coolest depending on the fan used. Both got awards, but the Gaia is also quieter (per Frostytech) and usually cheaper as well, making it the better choice.

^True. Noctua and Phanteks have some excellent air coolers in the $60-$80 range that perform as well as many closed-loop liquid coolers, and may run quieter as well. You'll need to spend a LOT more on a custom water loop to get better cooling.
If you're going for mild to moderate overclocks, a modest air cooler is sufficient. Make sure your mobo is suited for overclocking, e.g. the cheap MSI -G4x boards have weak VRMs that may pop under load.

I have the MSI Z87-G43 and I have seen no problems wth the VRMs. OC'd to 4.6 GHz.
