This might be a silly ?

I was just wondering because i have one hd 6970 and i can buy another one for 100 euro.

But the Radeon R9 280X cost 200 plus.

6970 is around 60% of the performance of the 280X http://www.techpowerup.com/reviews/MSI/R9_280X_Gaming/2... so 2 of them in crossfire would not reach 280X in most games. Sell yours get the 280X no dual card issues.

But what about if i am running just one screen would 6750 CF not keep me going for next few years?

Yes it would being close to the 280X. The questions are do you have the motherboard that supports it and PSU?

why not just get a 7870 for like 160 and sell the old card? its cheaper, a big upgrade, and no where near as expensive as the 280x
