Gigabyte GA-970A-DS3P it's ok?

Hi everybody,
I need to know if this mb it's good for the following configuration(the price of this mb is my budget):
MB=Gigabyte GA-970A-DS3P

aerocool strike x1
xfx radeon r9 200 series 270 AMD
amd fx-6300
corsair 2x4 ddr3, 1,6 GHz

Ty, for any advices, and let me ask you:
is this mb compatible with any linux os?

The motherboard is good if you plan on sticking with your fx 6300 cuz it has no support for 125w psus like the 8150 or 8350.. There are better micro ATX mobos from gigabyte..you can have a look at em

All motherboards are compatible..it depends on the architecture of the cpu. Yes, your processor is compatible with Linux

I have one, and it works (16GB, fx8350), running kubuntu 14.04 64 bit, kernel 3.14.1.

especially the posting which said "If you add GRUB_CMDLINE_LINUX="iommu=soft" to /etc/default/grub then run the command sudo update-grub in a terminal. usb 2.0, usb 3.0, and ethernet should all work. Also don't forget to disable iommu in the bios."

Hello , I have the same MOBO and have corsair vengeance 2x4 ddr3 1600 Ghz , I would like to OC it to 1866 .. would that be a problem ? thanks ... I use fx 6300 also OC to 4.3
