Hi there!

My wife had a folder with pictures in it on our Windows 7 PC. She noticed, however, that some of the pictures were missing. She found the rest in the recycling bin in a folder by the same name.

However, after restoring this folder, she found that it had replaced the original folder and all of its content, leaving us with just a fraction of the original pictures.

Any advice on what to do next to get all of the pictures back?

Thanks,

- Justin

You'll have to try to use a recovery utility to find the old pictures. Try running Recuva.

What probably happened is that the original folder was at some point deleted, and you replaced it with the new one, then started to put the rest of the pictures in the new one. Then you noticed that some pictures were no longer there, restored the old original folder from a while back, and over-wrote the new one.
