Have been trying my best to solve this issue for the past week.

Recently got my friend to help me set up my rig, specs are as listed:

CPU: Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-4670 CPU @ 3.40GHz (4 CPUs), ~3.4GHz
GPU: Sapphire R9 280X Vapor X 3GB OC
RAM: 8GB
Mobo: Asrock H87m Pro4
SSD: Samsung Evo 120
HDD: 1TB Seagate

Trim is enabled and AHCI enabled during installation.

Issue:
Boot up was fine when the rig first arrived. After installing the drivers and BF4, boot slowed down to 20 over secs and now it takes 48 secs on average (by Bootracer) to boot up. This is with my OS installed on SSD.

Did many troubleshooting and with Event View, managed to lock on to high smssinit time taken. Moved on to zooming in to my graphics driver, and I realized that if I uninstall my graphics driver (with safe mode and driver sweeper), which includes the microsoft auto install standard vga adapter driver btw, and attempt to reboot, my system will boot up in 10 seconds.

If I install the AMD driver (beta or non beta tested), it'll take up to 48 seconds on average.

If anyone is interested, here's the XML of my bootup event view

I have a similar issue. Specs below...
i5 3570k 3.8ghz in Turbo set to CUSTOM High Performance in Control Panel / Unparked CPU - V2 Beta - coderbag.com / GA 7970 OC stock / 16GB GSkills R-Jaw Ram / Z77X-UP4TH / Crucial M4 SSD 250GB / WD Blk Caviar HDD 1TB / OS Windows 7 64bit / FIREFOX Browser only

If I boot up from shutdown, most of the time it will boot in 10 to 15sec. Sometimes, or a lot of times it doesn't, so I do a full shut down, then go into the BIOS, then *only SAVE & EXIT. It usually boots in 10 or so sec. I do the *full shut down because it seems more consistent than doing a RESTART. The restart *can work, & again, I go into the BIOS / SAVE & EXIT only & hope for the best.
If I put it in SLEEP MODE & sign in, it is wacked out, & I can't click on anything - ex: to load a web page - but I have just enough time to click SHUTDOWN. I can't figure this nonsense out, so I always shut down.

I never thought of testing by deleting the AMD driver & doing a restart, or sleep, or log out, or shut down w/ out ever downloading the replacement driver - I delete said driver by going to Control Panel & click *change which supposedly removes all traces of the driver & short cuts etc.

Strange, from what you say, it could be the drivers throwing things out of wack.

I'll try testing your way by deleting drivers, but I will put the PC to sleep, or log out for my 2nd tests for start up since it will require a restart after deletion.
