G.Skill RipJaws-X 16GB on Gigabyte

Hello.

I will buy a new Motherboard: GIGABYTE H87-D3H

Can i use this RAM on that MB: G.Skill RipJaws-X 16GB 1600Mhz cl9 KIT - 1.50V

Because i read somewhere that this memory is compatible only for this chipset: P67 / Z68 / P55 / Z77

and under Qualified Motherboards List there is no this gigabyte motherboard.

Does anyone have any experience with this?

the ripjaw will work it 1.5v ram. if your going to use an aftermarket heat sink look to the aries ram or lp cosair ram. both will work.

ok, ripjaw will work, but i dont understand your second part of answer. about aftermarket heat sink ? can u explain more about that ?

on rams if you look at there images the outside metal is called a heat sink. the height of the heat sink if it too tall wont fit under some cpu coolers.

if that cpu cooler was wider that ram sick would have no fit. you would lost the last ram slots.

ok, I get it. I planned to buy this cooler: COOLER MASTER Hyper 212 Evo.

And can i setup on the first two slots (2x8GB), and then will be the third and last one empty where is the cooler.

evo is a not wide cooler so you should be fine.

the aires ram is newer and will work a lot better on newer mb.
