The pc has a coolermaster elite case with extra fans, however one usb is broken. Now for the spec:

Nvidia gtx 550 ti gigabyte
Gigabyte ga-m68mt-s2p motherboard
Amd athlon 965 phenom II processor
Corsair cx430 power supply
1x8gb corsair xms3 ram
1tb western digital enterprise hdd

I had 5 beeps, then 2.5 second no beeps then 5 more beeps.
I switched the slot my ram stick was in
I made sure all the cables were in properly

Then the problem was gone *yay*

I started the PC then 2 seconds later it beeps and 20-30 seconds later it shuts down.

I currently have no thermal paste on the CPU and after the shut down it is VERY hot.
Is that the cause? Do i just apply some thermal paste (obviously i'll look up tutorials)
put my fan back on
and it should fix?

Thanks
zak

Yes, you should not turn a PC on without proper cooling to the CPU. Thermal paste is an absolutely critical piece in cooling your CPU. Apply thermal paste, and please read a good tutorial before you do it.

So the beep is the 1 that always happens
And it's only turns off because there's not paste?
I'm so happy. Thank you bro.
