Im really stick between the HD 7970 VS R9 280x contemplating which will give me the absolute best gaming experience per buck i put out. Can i get some help?

I know the x280 is better but i found a 7970 for $259.99(with rebate)--> http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E168...

But the 280x comes out to $299 -> http://www.amazon.com/dp/B00FONITA6/?tag=pcpapi-20

So which should i go with??

Also a side note question, i initially intended to buy the M5A97 LE R2.0 AM3+ 970 ATX AMD Motherboard which costs $70 with a rebate, but someone else suggested MSI 970A-G43 ATX AM3+ Motherboard which costs $40 (after a promo code and a rebate).

That particular model of 7970 is not advisable. The Powercolor uses the PCB from the 7950 and has pretty bad cooling. If you can find a Sapphire, Asus, MSI, Gigabyte, or HIS model for that price then I would go that route.

Otherwise, just go with the Gigabyte R9 280X http://amzn.to/1dn7SnT Compared to the other 7970 that you linked, it is definitely worth the money.

thank you sir :)  So what do you think about this build? http://pcpartpicker.com/user/Cplusplus/saved/2Stc

anywhere i can save money or improve without going up in price?
