Computer restarts randomly after installing new graphics card

So I just upgraded to an AMD Sapphire 270x graphics card. However since installing it my computer reboots shortly after booting into windows (and sometimes even before that) with not apparent cause. Any ideas what could be the cause?

Other components:
Motherboard: MK Gigabyte GA-P55-UD3
CPU: Core i5 750, 2.66GHz 8MB
PSU: Corsair VX 550w
RAM: Corsair 2x2gb DDR3 1600MHz/CL9/1,65V./XMS3

Edit: I should say that I checked the temperature on the card, the voltages from the PSU as well as did a clean sweep of the old drivers, all off which looked fine/gave no result. The +12V were around 1V using HWMonitor though it was fine in BIOS so that was likely just a measuring error.

Have you / can you test the GPU in another PC?

I have not tested it in another computer though I might go over to a friend to test that sometime tomorrow.

I have the same issue with my Asus R9 290. Random restarts, can happen at any time, even when computer is still booting.
Tried it in friends PC and same issue, tried it in another friends PC and no issues. No idea what is causing it.
Bought a new PSU and still same issue.

Motherboard: Asus M5A78L LE
CPU: AMD FX-4170
PSU: Nexus RX-8500 (850W)
RAM: 2 x 4GB DDR3 800MHz

If 2 AMD people are getting this issue it could be a bug in the AMD drivers?

Forgot to post a reply here after I solved it but I noticed the reply in my mail box now. Anyway, after I updated my BIOS I have not had any more problems.
