A little background first: I am trying to recover the data from my PS3 hard drive and I have made a recovery image using GNU ddrescue in Ubuntu. Now that I have this image file, does anyone know what I need to do to put the image back on a hard drive. For those who don't know this, PS3's use an encrypted proprietary file system, so openning the image file and mounting it and copying the files over to the other hard drive is impossible.
Any advice on this would be greatly appreciated, I just need to know how to put this image file onto a hdd, preferably in Ubuntu 12.04.
