So I built myself a new pc awaiting Kaveri's release, tossed in a cheap A4-4000 to hold me off until then. This is the first time i've used gigabytes new UEFI bios and i'm lost. My ram runs at 1333 and when I change the xmp profile to 2400, windows will not start. I do not know if I need to change something in regard to the CPU to make it work. I tried raising the vcore up one setting, lowering the clock to 1600mhz, 1866, etc, etc, but nothing I try will load windows. This APU's look alot different inside the bios i'm not sure what to change anymore. It would be nice to OC this cpu just a little, and get better ram speeds...I can hardly watch youtube without lag hahaha....

Does anyone know of an OC guide for APU's? Or any suggestions on what to do for settings? Please respond in UEFI terms because it's all different it appears...I appreciate the help. I hope I can learn before Jan comes along!

Youtube videos shouldn't be an issue, unless you have multiple open, or are otherwise running multiple things in the background?

Anyway, I am not familiar with Team Xtreem RAM, and so am not sure how they actually rate. However, the supported memory bandwidth is 1333 for the A4-4000, so anything beyond that is kind of a gamble. If simply messing with the bandwidth isn't giving you gains, you might have to try tinkering with the timings.

On the subject of overclocking in general, the processor has a locked multiplier, so you'll have to resort to Front-Side Bus (FSB) overclocking if you want to make gains. I can't readily find a guide in the time I have, but, hopefully this will help you.
