Hey guys, I'm getting a new computer for Christmas. I started customizing the computer online and stumbled between two choices: 8GB of RAM and 2GB NVidia GPU or 16GB of RAM and 1GB NVidia GPU. I am a gamer and I want to play games like Battlefield 4, Call of Duty: Ghosts and GTA V. Which of the two options do i choose? Also, Windows 8 or Windows 7?

Thanks,

8Gb of RAM and 2Gb GPU, 8Gbs of RAM is good enough for everything on the market atm, and the video games you mentioned are graphically heavy so you will require a better video card, 2Gb is always better than 1 in this situation.

Also get Windows 8, it has better directx support than windows 7 so certain games will run better on it.

get the 8gb of ram and the 2gb Nvidia graphics. You will see a huge performance increase from a better gpu. You won't see a performance increase with more ram than 8gb if you are only gaming. Battlefield 4 recommends 3gb for max settings so go with the 2gb ram graphics card.

Do you know what the graphics cards are that the PC's come with??

I would go with windows 8, windows 8 has almost the same gaming performance than windows 7 in some cases better. I find windows 8 to just be faster and easy to use (once you learn how. It is important that you learn how to use it or its going to be no fun, but its not hard to learn so don't let that turn you away from Windows 8).
