I am planning on get a powerline adapter for some gaming at I'm am in the top floor of my house so wireless is pretty awful to say the least. I've looked at two on amazon at around the same price but according to the contents of the box it seems one is definitely better quality.

This one is only a twin pack so I will have to buy the cables extra and also has a higher original price. ( I know often this whole "was £90 now £50" is often bull rap so people think they're getting a deal but I'm trying to look at most things) this is leading me to think its better

This is a complete startup kit and also has AC pass, I don't really care about the AC pass but because it has this extra I think because the two adapters are the same price
Even though this has this extra it might be worse quality.

I have never done anything like this before so I don't really know which is better or if I'm missing something blatantly obvious

You won't know unless you can pick up a set and test it. Most of the time the powerline will work, my basement was re-wired when I moved in so that might be the reason it didn't work for me. If you have a friend that can lend you a set to test that would be the best bet. If not, look for a place that has a really good return policy.

I bought and used a Trendnet TPL-407E2K. I had no issues and all and it was stable. It's not the same as being wired because you'll notice a ever slight difference. Online gaming was good and had no issues with connection loss. It was literally plug and play, no fuss.

Now the powerline solution is not for everyone because of how your house is wired. For example, the plug worked great in my living room, but in the room directly below in my basement, I was not able to connect/get a signal.

btw, 2 sets of I think 3ft cables came with the adapters in the box.

If it depends on the wiring in my house then how will I know whether it will work for the room I want it in without buying to find out first?
