I have been planning to build a computer for the past year and a half now. I have talked to people who custom build computers, and done my fair share of research. Now, all the stars aline, and I am ordering parts tomorrow. I believe I have come up with the best build for my needs of school work, games, light video editing, stream on twitch, and watching movies. I am very proud of myself only being 14 and done all the research and gained all the knowledge. I want to play a variety of games, and I hope this build can do what I need. I have two builds, a Intel and a AMD of course, and both builds are AMD gpu cards. I already have some parts (The case, HDD, optical drive). Please help me out.

Games:
World of Warcraft
Minecraft
Left 4 Dead 2
Arma II: DayZ Epoch
Fallout: New Vegas
Portal
Portal 2
Planetside 2

Programs:
Sony Vegas 11
Fraps
Dxtory
Open Broadcast System
Photoshop

Builds:

AMD: http://pcpartpicker.com/user/IAmMatt907/saved/2N4D

Intel: http://pcpartpicker.com/user/IAmMatt907/saved/2FUE

I am building a PC so I can game again, and also for a school project. Please help me out!

I would go with the AMD build, but replace the motherboard with this one - http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813131935, as that motherboard you have selected has quality issues.
I have the same CPU and stream on twitch with it occasionally with no issues, while the i3 would max out easy while streaming.

Get the 7870 Ghz edition instead, and 09on your budget defenitely the AMD, also because you are planning on doing editing, the extra cores will help.

What company would you recommend I get a 7870 from? The only reason I would go with the 7850 is the price. Is there a 7870 with the same price? I can only use Amazon and Newegg for ordering parts because of my alaskan location, and they seem to have the lowest shipping costs.

I believe the Sapphire 7870 Ghz edition is 160 dollars on Newegg. The Sapphire is also the better of the 7870s

Thanks godfish for the tip of a better GPU, and i am also going to be live streaming and recording and video editing, so I do believe I need the 6-core processor that is in the budget range.
