Keyboard compatible with motherboard?

Hi! I have heard that CM Storm keyboards are incompatible with 970 and 990 chipsets unless you use a DC powered USB Hub, which is currently out of my budget. I just want to make sure that my keyboard is compatible so I do not have to wait a week before I am able to actually install Windows. My keyboard: Tt eSPORTS MEKA G-Unit - Red Switch Edition Thanks!

Not sure how that works, a keyboard is a keyboard, if it has a USB plug it should work fine.

The chipsets do not give the correct power output to the keyboard with the exception of the Rapid. I have no idea how that is possible, but I am going to trust you and pick your answer as the solution.

Yeah I've never heard of it happening, USB is a standard you can't really override. Only thing I could think of is maybe your keyboard has two USB plugs, in which case I would plug both of those in.
