I just recently got in my new External hard drive Seagate Expansion 3 TB USB 3.0 Desktop External Hard Drive after much trouble I found out how to make partitions on the new external drive, I've reached a point to where I can create 4 partitions on the drive but it seems that I can't create any more partitions, Does this sound right?

Its a 3 TB Drive it says that I have 746 GB of Unallocated space but I cant seem to do anything with it because I cant make any more partitions.

Did I do something wrong or did I really reach the limit of maximum partitions on the drive?

Solution
Is the drive formatted as MBR or GPT?
Have you tried making a logical partition? You can only have 4 primary partitions with MBR.
