Hi,

For a new PC rig I'll be building, I've been wanting a pretty high capacity for my storage. I've considered looking at certain Companies and Storage ranges an have considered the following:

1TB vs 2TB
Seagate 7200.14 vs Western Digital Caviar Black

As for usage, I will be doing:
80-90% gaming (Usually AAA FPS)
Roughly 10% Document and Music storage
(OS and Virus scans will be on a seperate and occupied SSD).

Will 1 Terabyte be enough for what I do? Will I take WD's slightly overpriced but slightly more reliable HDD's Or Seagate's Slightly faster HDD's with much more value for a higher risk rate?

More about : questioning storage

1. Data accumulates to fill the space available.
2. You can always add more space.

True that.
What about WD (Caviar Black) vs Seagate (Barracuda 7200.14)?

I've currently got about 40 games on my 1TB HDD and only using about 400GB right now. You should go with the WD Blue 1TB, and you could always add a new HDD later if you need the space.

I understand WD Blues are a good buy, but they are usually for the average person. I'm going to be gaming a lot, and that extra performance, imo, is worth it.
