New Graphics card fan Isn't working

So I bought a new Fan for my Video card and it doesn't seem to work, when I start the computer it spins for 2 seconds then dies. Any Ideas? (Btw sorry Im a bit of a newbie to this) Its a 12v AVC DASB0410R2M

It should be a temperature controlled fan i.e it would start running at a specific temperature say 30c. To be sure that the fans are ok use a stress program to stress the card and simaltaneously monitor the card temp. and fan speed. You can use MSI Afterburner to reset the temperature at which the fan starts. Hope this helps.
